Caramel:
1 tablespoon water        What's this for?  It's not unhealthy enough.        1 stick unsalted butter, at room temp   Not your room temp. (93o)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar     Yeah I had me some brown sugar - once.         1/2 cup heavy cream    Does that come with a stint?       
       
Chocolate Layer:
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips  Hmmmm                             1/2 cup heavy cream     Get the defibrillator
1 teaspoon smoked sea salt   Who the hell smokes sea salt?                    1 3/4 teaspoons espresso powder   Be sure it's not  1 2/5 teaspoon

Bob's Past Presents:- Unbelievable!  So, get this.  Bob goes to NIU for a tailgate party where his former fraternity (Kappi Chi, which later joined the national Sig Ep fraternity... ) needs help in rushing (long story).  Anyway, so this Sig Ep guy & I are talking and I tell him my name.  He says, "You were a paralegal for Larry Raphael.  You were the guy who gave my wife and I our daughter!"  I go, "WHAT?"  He says he still has my business card & describes the circumstances of that adoption, which I vaguely remembered.  
But wait, there's more. A bunch of us go out for food after the tailgate thing, including this guy.  While we're all sitting at this big table, the guy says his daughter goes to NIU and is coming to the restaurant to meet me.  So about a half hour later, this little cutie and her fiancé' walk in and sit down across from me.  Whoa!   Her father told her who I was & how I fit into her life (she knew she was adopted).  We chatted for a while and then – off we went, on our separate ways.  Life – Ya know? Ya never know!

Hot Enuph 4 Ya?:-  OK, so here's what we got.  Phunclubers return from Key West and schlep the hot weather with them.  Though mainland members are pleased they returned - they coulda lepht (as Michael observed) the coffee pot environment off-shore.  In Colorado, Leslie remarks that it's hot there too - but it's a DRY heat.

Scientific Breakthrough:- At a symposium held in K&D's new basement, the grandchildren presented a virtual paper describing their propensity to exhibit more energy, in the form of perpetual activity, than an the average altacocker.  In an effort to further study and confirm this remarkable phenomenon, Bob will bring his telescope to Ph&L's on the 4th (Huh?).
